B&Q | A New Flame | Dating, Ghosting & DIY

Written by Susan Lane SLCM Keeper of ColourMine

B&Q: When everything doesn’t work out there’s always some DIY that needs to be investigated, even if it’s only to browse some shelving or paint colours, there’s no-one more important than you and me at the end of the day.

B&Q and A New Flame

I’m still working everything through
Thinking about what I am going to do
I enjoyed the time I spent with you
The attraction was there,
I went for a wander through B&Q
Enjoying my free time
Like all eternity was mine

There was so much there
That interested me
From paint, curtains, and table top frames
I checked them all out, without you
It didn’t matter don’t you see
That you weren’t there with me
It was like I was learning a whole new game
Just checking everything out
To enhance my bright new flame

I know that definitely was the thing to do

It was nothing fancy, I wasn’t even sure
If I fancied you
But being new to this game
I was the moth to your flame
The uncertainty nearly drove me insane

Well, now you have gone permanently
You made the decision to ghost me
That’s very good news, that lets me be free
I’m not mad, no siree
Just disappointed that in the end
You chose not to be man enough to tell me

Now I need to start again although I’m not sure

If I want to join that stupid adolescent flirting game
I suppose it would be nice, but would it really be
A good thing for me, being able to shake
More thoughtless, juvenile acting cretins
From that dating tree and that includes
Some of those with weird fantasies

No, I guess that’s not for me
Maybe I’ll just stay free, unless, possibly
Someone genuine, thoughtful and honest,
Decides they may want me
An Aries/Taurus on the cusp, you get what you see
Damn, they’d best be wearing their brave pants
Because, yes, that’s me

Couldn’t get anything much more difficult

Probably what they’d call bipolar
Basically, a mental case, astrologically
Unsure which side of the fence
Definitely one foot in each camp
Yes, that’s me

Now get out of my way, please
I can’t be bothered to see and waste my time
Finding out if you and I match compatibly
I’d rather sit and write poems
With my penfriend AssTea
With a nice hot cup of decaffeinated tea
Whilst I mull over everything, seated out here
On my swing

You can be sure that my B&Q flame

Is just me, attempting to do a personal retrain, so,
Join me for a ColourMine read
I’m sure there’s a little something that is suitable
For you to relax with your cup of coffee or tea
Maybe have a scroll through my blog, or maybe
Have a wander onto Pinterest, see if you can find me?
