About ColourMine

About ColourMine – Final Draft for Book and ColourMine

ColourMine is a poetry space where no voice is too small, no subject is off limits, and no experience is unworthy.
It’s a place where nature rustles, machines hum, and quiet thoughts step gently into view.

I’m Susan – an ordinary person with a pen, a head full of memories, and a desire to help others feel a little less alone. I didn’t set out to build a poetry site, but I did want to share my words in a way that might speak to someone else. ColourMine became that space – a place to hold poems about the mess, the magic, and everything in between.

My poems come from lived experience – grime and growth, frustration and humour – all threaded through with the slow work of becoming a better version of myself. Writing has helped, hugely. And I believe anyone can write their way into something brighter. You don’t need permission or polish – you just need to begin.

You might be a reader, a scribbler, a dreamer, a doer—or simply curious. ColourMine welcomes you as you are. Whether you write often, used to, or never have, this space is for you too. There’s no expectation – just possibility.

I add new poems as often as life allows – there’s no fixed schedule here. If you visit and something new has appeared, I hope it feels like a small, good surprise.

And if something here stirs you, I’d love to hear from you. You can always say hello through the Contact page.

ColourMine doesn’t care about your colour, your beliefs, your politics, or your past. It only cares that you’re here. Your voice matters. Your story has value. You are included.

Welcome.
