Voice | This is visibility & ColourMine backlog survival

Written by Susan Lane SLCM Keeper of ColourMine

Voice: Typing is no problem, just memory exercises and fingers, but voice to text is a whole new entity that takes a lot of consideration to move over to when you’re already into a system of process. This is my thought for today.

Voice to Text Consideration

It’s early morning, just wondering what to do
We’ve all had breakfast, tidied the dishes and cat area too
Thinking about what I should do next
Will it be Sudoku or go and get dressed?

There are always the same questions at this time of day
There’s no kiss hello or what the heck
Or me wondering if I’ve landed up with someone
Who’s operating without a full deck

That internal voice,

I always find amazing to me that I can still continue,
No chasing around trying to see
What is the best option or outcome for me
There are always other choices you know
Like I’m now considering voice to text
To catch up with all the poem backload

ColourMine, you see is occupying lots of notepads as we speak
I gradually type up one or two poems each day
And that’s good until you realise
You actually wrote three or four some days
So, there’s more than I can cope with without delays

So, voice to text,

Once I’ve completed sufficient ColourMine changes for me
I’m going to try this new innovation and see if it suits me
I hear you ask “Why haven’t you done it before
If it stops the poetry life becoming a chore”

Well, for me it’s the system you see, I write, I read, I type, I read
Always checking for flow and consistency
Once that’s all done then for me it’s upload, check layout
Then I add an image and read yet again.

It has become a process

A habit that works for me
Everything I do is followed yet again by repeating
And checking everything through
That way it should be an exceptional read for you

Now I think it must be time for another cup of tea
Whilst I sit here in the warm and have another read
I even put something on Pinterest and Medium recently
Boy that was a shock to the system for me
Having learned to do that in my 60s you see

But I’m so pleased that I had a go

Even though some bits were irritating and went really slow
Through all that it was still good for me,
It gave me a huge boost to my dignity

Because now I’m able to do that for me
And it gives me quite a bit of pleasure
To check on the statistics occasionally

So, with publishing on ColourMine,

Sharing on Facebook and LinkedIn, over time
Now adding Pinterest and Medium,
Although Medium is not what I’d call divine,
It’s what I consider a poor relation for my poems
But that said, ColourMine is starting to look quite fine

In the wings waiting for me is another platform
That I think will be good for ColourMine and me
Hopefully, I shall be able to get to it fairly immediately
That way I’m hoping that people will see
How spectacular poems can be
Just stories written in rhyme, that are gathered over time

Especially those written by me

That are on ColourMine hehe
ColourMine poems can be read by all and sundry
As long as you have a few minutes each day that are free
Anyway, now it’s definitely time for that cup of tea

Maybe I’ll even come to a decision
About the voice to text because that might enable me
To add more poems to the ColourMine library
Join me and let’s both have that cup of tea
And sip it whilst we both read some of
ColourMine’s spectacular poetry, laugh with me.
