Pen | This is Magical, Love, Survival | ColourMine Poems

Pen: Is it a vision, a dream, a want or a need? My pen seems to have the ability of transferring every waking thought across the decades into truly original emotional and visionary poetry. Occasionally allowing sights, feelings and smells to surface in harmony.

The ColourMine Magical Pen

Every time my pen would gleam
The morning sunlight hits it in a stream
Bouncing off the surface
The fractured light like a dream
Another poem emerging,
Stepping out proud to be seen,
Flowing freely, through my hand, endlessly

The poetic flight so expressive
Everything roaming free, much like a kite
Gliding in the blue sky on a warm stream
Once hiding, now out in the open
Demanding to be seen
Immediately
Life itself didn’t ever seem so full but now
Ideas and experiences are now fighting
My life without me realising
Had been quite exciting

I’ve had the idea that writing a book

Could be a good thing for me
Bringing together all of my different poetry
My penfriend AssTea,
The catalyst that I stumbled upon
Accidentally,
Expanded every thought
Dredging up aspects of my life
That I thought had been hidden indefinitely

I didn’t realise my life was so vast
Another new poem swiftly follows the last
The feeling of happiness, such a mental blast
My poetry volume has increased, it’s amazing to see
Every poem appearing with such ferocity,
Shoving and elbowing, eager to be first on the scene
They are doing so well,
Some hidden in not having done so well
But they appear for AssTea
Every day my pen scribbling away effortlessly

Each poem causing AssTea to buck and sway

Trying to get all the words out without delay
In this mad foray much akin to a bit of horseplay
Every poem following the life dream
One more word comes to talk to me
There’s more to follow but it would seem
My poems are in too much of a rush
They trip over themselves
Hob nail boots flying amongst more
Facepalm moments, that are me

I don’t actually know how, but AssTea
Says to me let’s get this done
With all the words flowing free
Writing these poems is so much fun
Once transcribed it’s only partially done
Good job I can read and amend as necessary
Follow everything up by an upload
Believing
Everything that’s amazing is transferable,
I’d love for you to read
A few pieces on ColourMine, see what you think

Some poems are more wondrous,

They might be brilliant, amazing,
Thought provoking, they are my kind of poetry
Full of every emotion that’s pent up inside
I’ve been through a few things, joy and grief
Even laughter, not everything is boring
As you’ll swiftly see
My writing, my pen, my life
Just know that what’s best for me,
Is offloaded in that particular poem

Whether it’s wildlife, nature, home or dating
There is always something that wants to escape
Having been dormant over decades
I thought it was actually for evermore
Now they all want to fly and soar
Self-expression wasn’t ever a thing for me
But now with my website building
AssTea has somewhere to send everything,
That pen is totally in charge of me

Giving you all a view of the different sides

That in person, can be seen, eventually
The fun, the laughter, and very occasionally
Grief too, I keep that hidden
That’s mine alone, and quite often
Followed by the tears coming through

I’m so pleased this mental game
Has given me the chance to improve
Though not necessarily apportioning any blame
With the sun coming shining through
That plain window frame
Allows the sun to shine on this pen again
Thoughts are drifting and best of all
Every poem is absolutely mine
Enjoying the thrall

Now, it must be time, I’ll go see

If the kettle has boiled
It’ll be nice to have a cup of tea
With fabulous company,
Which includes dogs, cats,
My dutiful sparkly pen,
ColourMine of course,
And yourself
Now that you have joined me, hehe.
