ColourMine | Love computers & poems, hate computer problems

ColourMine: Not everything is website based, sometimes the answer is much simpler and nearer to hand.

Another ColourMine Computer Lesson

This was recently learned by me
And was such a beautiful sight to see,
Eventually
Daisies and dandelions in their fine livery
The daisies showing a bright yellow face
Surrounded by a white collar of petals
They look like lace

The dandelions,
Bright yellow amongst all the green
Turning into seeded time clocks
Heads of ghostly white, all serene
They disperse quickly on barely a puff of wind

The petals of the magnolia

A delicate pink, Magnolia Susan
Shaped like a flute,
Could have been named for me
Those petals after flowering falling gently
Such a beautiful sight to be seen
A lovely carpet of pink
Covering the grass that is a beautiful spring green

A lone squirrel has spied some peanuts
That for him I cast aside
Maybe it’s a her, I don’t really care
The baby will be out later
Eager and willing to learn
Following its parents,
Covered in a similar grey fur

They feed then they scamper

When they see me
They spy the dog
And quickly flee up the nearest tree
Running along the branch
Trying to escape swiftly
Jumping onto the hedge
Just to get away
They’re happy to be given food
But see us and hide because they are afraid

Once the dog has toileted it’s time to go
Quickly make a cup of tea,
Sit down and fire up ColourMine
Ready for the next poetic show
The poem is eager and ready to spring from me
There’s no holding it back, Whooptidoo, hehe

Apart from all of that

Life has for a week, been a disaster for me
I’ve not been able to upload, or update anything
That’s so frustrating
I tried everything, exhausted my brain
I consulted AI Copilot,
Trying to work through everything

Copilot has a huge brain
A vast amount of information
That expels like a rat down a drain
All the suggestions I was given
I tried to no avail
It was like standing in rain that turned to hail

It was obvious to me

That whatever the problem is,
It’s far beyond me
Even Copilot is struggling
To find a solution
For what may possibly be interrupting
ColourMine and me

Everything that was suggested
I had already tried but tried again
In the first instance it would appear
That a Hostinger update could be the winner here
I updated but that didn’t improve matters for me
So that surely meant that WordPress
Was possibly the one having difficulty

A deathly combination

Just a possibility for me, would be
If Hostinger and WordPress were updating
Simultaneously
But not succeeding or syncing properly
I waited a few days, probably nearer a week

Not much changed except
It was showing an error to me
http error 429 page not working,
Contact site owner, well, that was me
And it didn’t matter what I did
It still didn’t like me

Just another irritating computer

Shoved in front of me
The ColourMine door locked completely
I got so exasperated, I couldn’t understand
Why this happening to me
I tried everything to access my admin page
And all that was shown
Was my lovely self-generated 404 page
I wasn’t pleased
Nothing seemed to make the grade

I closed my laptop and walked away,
This definitely wasn’t my best day
I was so irritated,
Understandably
I’d built this whole website singlehandedly
Now it was doing this to me

I gave it a day, used my free time

Typed up some poems
Gently teasing the aggravation away
I knew I was too angry to solve that problem today
The next morning started as normal
I was milling around
When it suddenly dawned on me

There was something I hadn’t considered
That kind of linked everything
So, after breakfast and my cup of tea
Out came the laptop,
I just wanted to see,
If my bright idea was realistic
Or maybe ludicrous but I had to be sure
I had to justify waking up early

With my partial certainty

Well, here goes,
This could either be
The most lightbulb moment experienced by me
Or the height of stupidity
For the first time since I’d had it
I didn’t turn on my VPN

I waited to see if anything would break
It was all good so far
Now, let’s see what ColourMine
Has in store for me
OMG life is looking so amazingly fine
ColourMine is finally back to being mine

Everything I looked at was free of trouble

No 404 page for me
Even Copilot learned something and was pleased,
If it wasn’t so early, I’d have been celebrating
With Asti
Instead, I had a hot cup of tea
I’m still glad because I can once again get to say
Get yourself a cup of tea,
