Welcome to ColourMine
This is my second live website for ColourMine, and in many ways, it feels like a fresh start.
My first attempt was back in June 2025 on Squarespace. I never quite worked out if I got it right or wrong, because everything happened very quickly, and at times it felt a little overwhelming.
I’ve always liked computers, but building a website turned out to be more of a challenge than I expected. That “easy drag and drop” wasn’t quite as simple as it sounded.
Now I’ve moved over to WordPress, and I’m beginning to find my rhythm again – both with the website and with sharing my poems.
If you’ve already had a look around, I hope you’ve found something that made you smile, pause, or even recognise a little bit of yourself. That’s really what ColourMine is about.
These poems come from everyday life – some of the best moments, some of the more frustrating ones, and everything in between. You might see a reflection of your own experiences along the way.
And who knows . . .
you might even feel like picking up a pen yourself and thinking:
“If she can do it, then so can I . . ”
If that happens – then welcome to my world.

Apologies for the emoji presentation – I tested several, but this was the only one that worked reliably on ColourMine. Just click the box next to the emoji and hit submit, and I’ll know if the poem resonated with you. Thank you for sharing your feelings.
