Love: The power game eternal reaching through time and space, and across generations too
Eternal Love Across Time
This is a sentimental look at loves evaluation over time and space regardless of where or when the actuality occurred, the ending is always the same, unfortunately.
Time Means Nothing
I was amazed you just didn’t see
Just how much you meant to me
The time we spent may not have been
That much I think you’d agree
Because what we had couldn’t be
Measured by time you see
Whether 40 years or just a couple of weeks
The enjoyment we had was
Always lows and peaks
Followed by eventual grief
That loss when you were gone
Still speaks to me
From deep down every nerve ending
That definitely speaks loudly
Love : It’s Just Life’s Game
My life will never be the same
But I have learned a lot from that game
Each day we spent was so good for me
Enjoyment was the calm before the grief
But I didn’t ever say to you
Anything that wasn’t true
My emotions were quite often
Hidden inside of me
They were always
Fighting to be free
Love and life will
Never be the same
Gone But Not Forgotten
Now I won’t ever
See your face again
The sight of you made my day
Every time I kissed your face
Looked in your eyes
And saw a reflection
Of me,
Our gazes locked
And on repeat
The emotions within
Shielding you from me
Even when we were both replete
The incessant desire
That you couldn’t see
That I quite often hid
Because I didn’t think you could cope
With the whole lot of me
The Bowing Out Ceremony
And even now after everything
When you didn’t say
Your final goodbye to me
That deep regret is still locked inside
But at least I don’t have to
Hide or apologise
For saving the last part of me
For whatever comes, oh, no siree
At least I can be me
And appreciate my animals and family
I can write my poems
And extol my happiness and grief
On My Own – Again
Showing the world that inside me
Life is still deeply engaging
And special, even though
There’s only me
I’m so glad you see
Because if I want I can
Go grab a cup of decaffeinated tea
Sit on the swing and mull over
What the rest of my uneventful life
Has in store for me
Hallelujah
And Whooptidee
