Whilst ColourMine was on Squarespace there were several challenges I was faced. This is another small one that impacted the whole process of website building that I was faced with on a daily basis. I didn’t realise when I started it would be an ongoing day to day battle, but here I was, again.

ColourMine & Squarespace Website Rebranding Update

Now having changed all the colours
On the ColourMine logo to pink
On every page,
Yes, I know that was quick
Although not as quick
As some of you think
It should have been
But I’m only one person
Not a whole team

Another sitemap is in place for
Google Search Console
To have a look and see
That ColourMine is looking
And playing fabulously
So pink and marvellous wouldn’t you agree
But, woah, Google doesn’t seem to be
On the same page as me

I check and look and what do I see
Two URLs for each blog post
Staring back at me
Also, I’d already changed
The Social Sharing Image
Across the board
Now it’s returned and it’s quite a hoard

The only thing I could think of to do
Remove and delete every one
That’s not ColourMine recent food
Now I’ve reinstated the pink logo
For the new ColourMine
I’ll just crack on

And chuck any rubbish I find
Into the bin is what I shall do
If it’s not anything ColourMine true
There’s something annoying I’m hoping to find
Well, it’s plain to see I’m obviously
Missing something that’s annoyingly
Visual to Google or is it only me?

I looked and I looked but I couldn’t see
That annoying double URL looking back at me
Then I had a bright idea, I’m on a laptop you see
The whole information screen is not visible to me
I scroll down and look;
There it was looking at me

Problem Solved

It had been hiding in that nook,
Now it’s very visible for me
All deleted and corrected diligently
All they say now is the website
And the name of the blog
Oh, Whooptidee

Now maybe it’s time for a think
Maybe have another drink
Maybe consider a glass of Asti for me
Or I might be good and
Have another cup of tea
Well, that’s a strong possibility
Especially considering I went to the fridge

And there in front of me
I found the Asti has gone
Looks like the eternal fridge monster (Me)
Has only gone and stolen my last bottle hehe, So,
I’d best stick to a good old British cup of tea.
