ColourMine is happy | This here is website survival

Welcome to my second attempt at a live website for ColourMine

I’m glad that you’re here and hope my poetry has given you some enjoyment along the way.

My first attempt at building a live website was with Squarespace. I never found out if I got it right or wrong because so much happened in such a short time.

If you did get to see my Squarespace blog, you would have read that I like computers a lot. This is more of a challenge than I was expecting. Squarespace, with its “easy drop and drag” feature, was so different from anything I had done before.

I was hoping that with the chosen layout, the buttons, and also my use of photographs for navigation with you in mind, it would have made it easier to navigate around ColourMine.

That said, I don’t actually think my Squarespace website really got off the ground. Whilst the content was kind of similar, the actual website itself was very different from this WordPress website.

I’m hoping that you may already have seen some of my poems whilst wandering through, and hopefully they will have whetted your appetite for more, which should be arriving within the next few weeks and months.

The poems will give you a glimpse into some of the best and worst times in my life that I have experienced. You may see some similarities with your own path.

You may even be considering taking up the pen yourself, having read my musings and think, “if she can do it then so can I and I’ll do a far better job . . . “

Welcome to my world.

Apologies for the emoji presentation – I tested several, but this was the only one that worked reliably on ColourMine. Just click the box next to the emoji and hit submit, and I’ll know if the poem resonated with you. Thank you for sharing your feelings.

Did you like this poem? How did it make you feel?
