Birds | Blue tits – This is love of Survival here

Blue Tits – Birds in the Garden

Sitting on the garden swing
Watching the little birds have a fling
Tiny blue tits enjoying everything
The feeder full of peanuts
That seems to be their thing.

They’ve also got fat balls
It appears they love them too
And their babies find it easier
To chomp and chew
It’s so nice to see
Them all fluttering merrily

They are there feeding all summer through
A touch of yellow with the blue
Back and forth they fly through
They are so very quick
That all you get is a slight glimpse
Of a strange bluey green hue

And they’re really clever
Which you might not believe
Because they know
If there’s no more food to be seen
They and their babies wait
At the top of the tree
Flutter their little wings
And chirp insistently
As if to say “feed me”

So, I approach stealthily
With more food and
Cheeky little devils
They disappear from view
But I know they’re watching me
Because once I have gone
They start to eat and shout
“Cheers for our tea”

They all tuck in
It’s a brilliant sight to see
Them all diving back and forth
Having such a fabulous time
With their feed

More Birds – In Come the Robins

Anything they drop is picked up
By the robin family
And even they fly and jump
From tree to tree
Checking out any offerings
That might have been missed recently

Because like the tit families who
Love this dine and dash
The robins are absolutely
Chuffed with this
Meal they can get for free
No chasing bugs and stuff
It’s all amazing to see

Because they tend to favour
That old dead tree
But I suppose it’s because
Of the privet next door
That is in close proximity
And a fantastic hiding place to be
For them all and their families

They only visit until winter and
When that season starts to call
Then it’s time for them to leave
Until the next summer
When they come back again
For another good feed

But best you don’t be deceived
There’s no emotional attachment
They only remember me
Because I give them food and water, hehe.
