Beautiful Climbers – Clematis & Lonicera Summer 2025
Beautiful characters entrance everyone within their sphere and this is no exception climbers always have a way of reaching further than you think they can or will.
Decisions Beautiful Decisions
It’s amazing how long it’s been
That I’ve had these beautiful climbers
Waiting for me
To plant out within the vicinity of the Acer tree
Although for now,
It’s been too hot you see
To consider planting them out in this lovely spot
Without thinking very carefully
About the watering that they are going to need
And whilst I keep them watered each day
On the line path is not the best place
To keep them long term, I’d say
Plant Placement
Even though I just water them
And not all the ground around
That’s still not the best place
I hear you say
Because eventually the grass would just
Leach all the water away
That would then mean
They could not stay
So maybe I might rethink
Where the best place is to be
Due to the greed of the Acer tree
I’m not sure as yet quite how close they should be
I’m not really sure what I should do
To keep the roots well-watered
So, they can take advantage of any plant food
Maybe some moss or possibly a sponge
Watering Challenge
Is that normal to plant with them
In the ground,
Perhaps soon someone will let me know
Because although I have a garden
And a couple of plants you see
Green fingers and gardening are not actually me
But poems and poetry that is something
I like to do, the enjoyment
Gardener or Poem Writer
Of letting the words flow through
The constantly flying of words you see
Through my pen, and undeniably
I understand and love the feel
That it all gives me
Now, where’s that cup of tea
Oh, dear here we go again
I got distracted away from my climbers
Now, I’ve just had a brilliant idea don’t you see
And now that once hot cup of tea
Is cold, best find the kettle
Then along with my hot cup of tea
Choice of Beautiful Living Space
I can mull over what is best for me
I think I have found the best place
For the climbers you see
That is so lovely, so sweet
So magnificent that in the summer each year
They’ll be looking at me
Shining brightly from that tree
On which I’m not keen
I know I shouldn’t be so naughty
Although it will help
To take the edge off my grief
To cover that flippin’ Acer tree
Garden Peacekeeper
Which I only agreed on
To keep the peace
And now there is no reason
For it to be having
Centre-stage eternally
I think it would look so much nicer
Covered in a beautiful
Clematis and Lonicera
With fabulous flowers that continue endlessly
And give such enjoyment
Not just to me but also
To everyone who sees
Those gorgeous blooms
In striking pinks
That stand out and be seen
When I sit and sip my tea
Decision Made, Possibly
Whilst I’m on the swing
I might even have something to eat
To make me replete
Me, my notepad and pen
Enjoying the day and the zen
And the good thing
Everything always works brilliantly
After I’ve finished this cup of tea
Or is it actually Asti . . .
