PageSpeed | This is Google Insights & survival here

More PageSpeed Insights – The Mystery

PageSpeed: This poem is a testament to the pros and cons of a drop and drag website that appears so easy but includes unseen diverse integrations which interfere with the normal workings of a minimalist website that you cannot remove or reduce despite all of your best efforts so, you are left with only one option – MOVE.

PageSpeed Insights Diagnosis

I’ve deleted all the images
From ColourMine you see
Because PageSpeed Insights said
There’s a huge loading problem
So thought it must be me

I thought I’d popped
Too larger photo’s on
But that cannot be
With each one being

200x267 pixels
That’s not that big
I don’t think
And 96 DNS is definitely

Reduction or Removal

Small when you consider
How big they begin
With loading everything
Being so bad

And PageSpeed Insights
Looking so sad
With mobile loading
At the mid to low zone

That will say
Everything’s too slow
So, people won’t stay
The desktop is not much better

I see occasionally in the high end
But more middle ground it’s been
So, I thought I’d strip out
Lots to improve the speed

Stripped Out but No Change

Well, that didn’t work
Even though there’s only
Seven images to see
And that’s right across the site,
Oh, woe is me

With everything gone
Except plain text and bold
The loading should fly
Without a hold

But there’s the rub
It doesn’t you see
It’s still very slow
Now, that’s quite a blow

Actually, there’s no change at all
On the mobile
And it’s uploading capacity
But with everything I’ve done

Everything Possible Done

It definitely isn’t me
So, I’ve come to the conclusion
That within Squarespace
There is lots I cannot see

That is holding ColourMine back
And because of this
It’s reducing
The ColourMine visibility

So, there appears to be
Only one thing that
I think I should do
And that is to leave

PageSpeed and Moving On

To find other pastures new
That said it looks like
WordPress may be the place for me
It’s sort of familiar

It’s ground that I’ve already covered
Within the last 10 years you see
So, decision made
I’m away, because that’s definitely

The place for me
So, I can enjoy
Doing everything and being me
With ColourMine being seen

New Destination and Tea

Now final decision made
Where’s my cup of
Decaffeinated tea
I think I need a sip

Prior to my next
Enjoyable scene
With positivity
And everything is green

For me, that means
Go, and now I’m replete
I shall proudly take
My ColourMine on WordPress
High priestess seat
