ColourMine: From Squarespace to WordPress and everything in between, this is a journey that has been long awaited with the familiarity of a long-lost friend, ready to build on previously shaky ground with alacrity and enjoyment.
Hello World & Welcome to ColourMine & Susan Lane SLCM
ColourMine's coming along nicely
It’s really slow but hopefully
Will be quite strong
I’m hoping to bring it all to you
It’ll be good if it doesn’t take too long
When this website is fully fledged
And maybe loaded
With poems old and new
It’ll be great to bring everything to you
And even though this platform
For ColourMine is brand new
The one on Squarespace
Was an experience for me too
But Squarespace is not for everyone, you see;
I found it very difficult to adapt
Having learned on WordPress previously
The Squarespace website
Was like Tetris you see
It was drop and drag
And I couldn’t get to grips with it
I gave it a good chance
But I found it wasn’t for me
So, now I’m on WordPress, luckily
I’m having fun
On almost familiar territory
No more drop and drag for me
Although relearning
Has been an adventure
Quite a feat,
Learning again to find my feet
It seems that after a decade,
I’m not, as yet, quite so fleet
But WordPress is definitely
Adapting to me
With all the ColourMine poems
I have written and uploaded diligently
Including my own images that I have taken
Just basically, everything, generally
I must however, check all things
With Alt text and meta descriptions,
Which are beginning to nudge me
Because WordPress is insistent
They be included suitably
But even with all this
I’m finding blogging poems enjoyable
With the ability to add
My poems like verses
That’s definitely a plus
For poetry
Like my ColourMine website
And
I’m finding it easier
To add everything that I need
It is all going in one or two places
And I haven’t had to search endlessly
I’m definitely thinking WordPress
Is the platform for ColourMine and me
It appears to be so much more adaptive
In many different ways I see
And it’s more like I can do
Mostly what I need
So, verily this is where I’m staying
Because it's now
ColourMine's home for all eternity
Now for a nice hot cup of tea
With my friend AssTea
My trusty pen friend who helps me
When I’m knee deep
In all this enjoyment of writing
Every day what I call normal poetry
And adding my poems online
Means I can do it
Whilst I sit and enjoy my cup of tea
I’m one extremely
Happy author and poet, hehe.

WordPress, Susan Lane SLCM and ColourMine – What a Combination
🕵️♂️Hearing everyone laughing loudly overextending. Whimsy organising reality loving devotedly. Waiting elegantly lounging creativity of meteorological entities taking over cause or loss of underused resources. Mingling in new endeavours and needing directions suitably using serious anomalies now leaving all newly excited. Savage usage seen and navigated leaving anyone nearly enthralled SLCM Keeps everyone endlessly peering even returning on full ColourMine ostentatiousness loving our under resourced miniscule inference now eternal.
This scroll is part of ColourMine’s layered poetic structure, where emotional resonance and embedded form quietly shape each piece.
