WordPress | This is ColourMine, love and survival

Written by Susan Lane SLCM Keeper of ColourMine

Welcome to WordPress

WordPress: A chosen platform isn’t necessarily the correct place to be, it might just be a learning place for you to move on to your permanent place of residence. Here is such an adventure.

The Move is done

I can’t believe I finally made the move
To go from Squarespace to WordPress
That’s the groove
The decision I didn’t take lightly

But I definitely approve
The familiarity of arriving there
It looked so much better
And easier to bear

No double working on every project
With placement of text or photos you see
Just everything uploaded fully prepared
Maybe a few tweaks here and there

Do it Once Only

Then onto the next one
The comparison is fabulous for me
The loading is quick and wondrously free
So quick so easy each one is like a celebration to me

I’ve realised that for me and Squarespace
I was a fool
Because back in early May
I was a bit of a tool

I made snap decisions and
Chose complete insanity for me
All that plug and play
Sounded really good

WordPress is Better for Me

But definitely didn’t work for me
Although on the upside
I learnt some things
It’s most definitely about

Roundabouts and swings
If I had known then what I know now
Would I have gone that way
Well, no, I wouldn’t I have to say

Although everything is a learning curve
Wouldn’t you agree
And this one was a huge one for me
And dare I say it

It Was a Mistake

A flippin’ facepalm moment
What a dippy doodah
Well, that was me
The one thing I can say

And it’s probably not just me is
That it’s always good
To try a different thing
It may not always be

The smartest move
But it will show you
There are lots more things
That you are able to do

You need to experience it through
Even if eventually, you find
It really doesn’t fit and
Isn’t you

On Completion

So, you do what you must do and
Like me, have a nice cup of tea
Or maybe an Asti and say,
Well, I’ve finally done it now

Whooptidee
Let’s improve and complete
ColourMine
Because it’s all me!
