Visibility: Such a huge list to go through to ensure your website is visible without extra problems like a problem with a favicon and other associated problems that occur.
Visibility, Favicon and WordPress
There are always solutions to problems
And sometimes you need more help than your own brain power
Well, today that was me
I updated my favicon months ago, I moved from Squarespace to WordPress
And even though it works within WordPress
There must be a problem with Google SC don’t you know
It hasn’t been seen or recognised so doesn’t work within the worldwide web
I asked for AI help, just to see if it could be remedied for and by me
Well, it all went ok, until time was not on my side
So, I had to reset everything because I couldn’t find the address for my IP
The IP address was needed to help me;
AI had guided me where to look on WordPress
So, because all of the things were time sensitive
Off I went and did the other things I had to do,
I came back to it several hours later with a different view
I decided
That although I had been checking via WordPress
Following the advice of AI
I wasn’t convinced that was the way
To find the IP address for me, having been told that was the way
So, without any further advice I checked Squarespace
Because in a very distant memory I just had this feeling
And voila there it was staring at me
I then went back to AI to query and plea
For advice to help sort out this favicon query
AI was brilliant and did absolutely advise me
I know it’s intricate and very scary to check, add and delete,
But I could see no other way out for me
So, I did as I was advised to do and what a brilliant move
I added four new IP address records
And deleted the Squarespace block without any difficulty
Then I went back to the search bar
I checked on the favicon
By putting in colourmine.com just to see if my favicon appeared
But no not yet,
Not for me but what a nice surprise there was for me
Previously when I put ColourMine in the search bar to see
It was at the top of 2.5 million searches
That was huge to me
When I did it this time which was possibly a week later
ColourMine was at the top of 14 million,
OMG, how fantastic,
That’s a phenomenal jump and obviously I didn’t realise
I’d been held back from achieving such visibility by
A plug and play helper that I’d ultimately found wasn’t for me
And so now I think I’ll stay with WordPress
Because it delivers and doesn’t play hide and seek with me
And that I think actually deserves a nice cold bottle of Asti
Damn, the glass, I’m not being that cheap,
I want to celebrate in proper style you see
So, a whole £4.49 bottle and it’s all for me
