ColourMine: A Poetic Detour
ColourMine 404: Not a Wrong Turn Just a Detour – If you happen to land on an unrecognised page then this is what you will most likely see, a variation of a normal 404 error page that is completely different, that’s the ColourMine way.
Don’t disappear because
You might want to hang around
I’ll blow my own trumpet
It’s worth waiting for me,
You’re not lost you see,
Just taking a look around
And lucky you, you've found
The ColourMine poetry ground.
On this poetic detour,
Let’s take a peek to see
What else we can find by
Clicking on the blue links
That I’ve dotted about
For you to see,
Whilst I sit and wait patiently
With a cup of tea, hehe.
As you probably already know
My cup of tea is always on show,
And if it’s not then
Don’t be surprised to see
A nice cold glass of
Sparkling cheap supermarket Asti.
I already know I’m a heathen
With a penchant you see
For these British things
That are a joy to me
But as you probably know,
I’m not one to put on a show.
So, if you can see this poem
That I’ve written especially for you
You’ve taken a wrong turn,
But don’t worry because
I've seen you,
From 404 to ColourMine Blog Poems
Now let's wander back,
To where ColourMine glows,
Back to the blog,
Where you will find,
All the poems,
You previously left behind.
If this is the first time
You’ve visited ColourMine and me
Then definitely don’t go
Because you are in for a treat
It’s not just one poem
There are loads and
They are all separated into
Different categories
All different genres you see
Some of which you might
Like to read
Just go grab a cup of tea
Or whatever is your speciality
Click on my blog
And join ColourMine and me

Oh, my goodness, you've knocked on door 404
You know you're not lost because who do you see
The ColourMine cat waiting to guide you
To all the poetry,
He's seen you, you know, now let's wander back,
To where ColourMine glows, back to the blog,
Where the poems flow.
