Backend & frontend | This is love & pride

Written by Susan Lane SLCM Keeper of ColourMine

Backend: A little poem about the wild week I’ve had building ColourMine – backend chaos, frontend sparkle, and a lot of tea.

Backend, Frontend – Proud of Me

Well, this has been quite a week of trials and tribulations for me
Writing lots of poems for ColourMine
And uploading them with some photos that are mine,
Diligently, and on time

Making sure that everything is just right for me
With all of the paragraphs and subheadings included
Nothing missed, everything in place, nothing a disgrace
Still trying to track down the LCP excessive paint
And that is becoming quite a pain

There was me thinking it would be easy

I thought it was the photo’s but now I’m not so sure
Because this week I had nothing suitable
Waiting in my photo store so, they weren’t included
On my ColourMine board

Still the LCP rose above three
Now I’m looking at excessive paragraphs
Which I suppose it could be
I’ll keep on looking and see if I can track it down
Hopefully I’ll find the solution this week,
Then maybe I’ll stop wearing this frown

If I don’t it’s not a bother you see
Because I have plenty of other things to occupy me
With poems, uploading, then there are forms and emojis
Even a photo with an alt text and description
They are all completely necessary
Well, I think that’s almost everything
Except for the tags and the categories

Backend : There’s always something to remember

But I have a system of what goes where
I have figured out a process of what is good for me
That way I don’t forget anything you see
And now I’ve decided to up my game
By sharing to LinkedIn and Facebook
I might even consider Pinterest and Tumblr
Hopefully they will spread the ColourMine fame

Although I think you will agree
It will take forever because it’s not a quick fix you see
And to get sufficient reach it’s a certainty
It would need all my friends to share my poems for me
And no-one at present does unfortunately, truthfully
But I’m hoping, eventually, people will know ColourMine
And also, my name and they will probably say
She’s that weird lady of poetry fame
But that doesn’t upset me, I can still write my poetry

I write and upload onto ColourMine for you to read

And the backend problems, I shall sort out gradually
ColourMine is not like some huge conglomerate
Where they pay someone to fix everything
Oh, no that’s not me, I do it all, oh, yes just me
The backend, the front end, and everything in between
Because ColourMine in all its entirety
Is like a shop front for me, what you see is what you get
And you can read it all, whilst sitting with a cup of tea

Me showing my all, impressing no-one except me
I’m definitely very proud of what I have achieved
On my own, yes all me from start to finish
I don’t need praise you see just the ability to know
It’s fine, its mine, it’s ColourMine, it’s me

And now I’m sitting on my swing, sipping on my tea

Won’t you join me because I’m super proud that I’m me,
I might even splash out and have an Asti Spumante
I’m also considering an unlikely takeaway meal for tea
To celebrate this adventurous backend, front end life
That has fairly recently found ColourMine and me
Cheers, let’s drink to everything that has been achieved.
And the good thing is I would absolutely love
For you to have a go, just like me,
Then we can both sit and drink a cup of achievement, hehe
